You can go to google.com and type in legalhelpers.
The lawyer will probably tell you what you need to know and its possible to keep your house even with you being behind. He will want to know your assets, how much money you both made in the last 6 months so bring your last paycheck stubs to show him. He will figure out the formula for you with income guidelines for your state. If you have to file then go for it. It's a legal law that gives everyone the opportunity to start over so good luck

If you need a bankruptcy attorney, I would guess you have very little resources. Contact the California Bar Association.

She is required to list all of her debts on her bankruptcy, her bankruptcy attorney is not lying to her. It is illegal to not list all debts and assets on a bankruptcy.

This does not impact your own obligation to pay the toll violations.

Hiring a lawyer for minor legal problems can be expensive, but there are websites like LawGuru, FindLaw and other places where you can get free legal advice. I found this website useful -

The best place to look is a lawyer referral service. They can narrow down your search as to the specific area of law you are looking at....

If she owns the car, the violations are
on her without proof otherwise.
Whether bankruptcy can clear an obligation
to a State might be a question.
