  1. I don’t think so. There is too much paperwork involved with the proceedings to do it by yourself.

  2. I would highly suggest to hire an attorney. The new laws have changed so much that unless you know exactly what you are doing, it’s easy to get a dismissal. Do you know what the new means test requires?? Do you know what you qualify for? Do you pass the median income guidelines to qualify?? Can you and do you know how to do the credit counseling that is now required by law to file a bankruptcy. Sure, you can google and find out how to file by yourself, there’s form you can fill out and do it yourself, but…do you know how to do them??? Google, U.S. Bankruptcy court and chose the area you are in. Good Luck!
